Presentation of the New Album "Mindjer"(woman) of Nino Galissa
Friday April 30th 2004 at the Bikini, Barcelona, Spain
Next Friday April 30th at 21.00 hrs, Nino Galissa will present his new and third album titled "Mindjer" (woman) at the Bikini, Barcelona, Spain, as the main act of the "II Encuentro Griot (the II Griot Encounter)". It will be a unique event this year because during the presentation, various artists who have participated in the new album and whom we don't usually see on stage will play together with Nino Galissa. Some of those artists are Eneida Marta (female voice), Juca Delgado of Guinea Bissau, the producer himself who also plays the piano and wind instruments, and many more.
Apart from that, various other groups will perform during this Encounter of African music, such as Eneida Marta from Portugal, Fanta Cissoko from Senegal, The Black Stars from Ghana and the African ballet directed by Dao David from Ivory Coast. They will perform the Panther dance by means of dance and percussion.
Kora, music, dance, percussion… all in one night : GRIOT!
